Seal Rock Studios
Seal Rock Studios-home to Allyson Simmie Metal Arts is beautifully situated in the historic community of Blandford on Nova Scotia’s scenic south shore.
You are most welcome to come visit the gallery, discover and share in the creative process and see how jewellery is made. The studio is also home to many interesting items from my years of teaching and living in the Arctic, photos of Canada’s landscape, and beautiful rock samples.
Visitors are welcome by chance or appointment.
*Take Exit 7 on Hwy 103. At the stop sign, turn left. After 1 km there is a sharp turn to the right. This is Hwy 329- take this turn! (if you miss it you will end up in Hubbards.) Follow #329 down the coast (the ocean should be on your right) for about 15 minutes. The first community you will pass through is East River (incidentally the view from East River beach was the inspiration for my Shoreline Ring).
Once in the community of Blandford, the studio is located at #5238 Hwy 329- Just past the Deck restaurant. Home of Annie’s famous homemade soups, a filming location for the Shipping News and the smallest full service post office in Canada!
